This site was originally hosted on an academic server but the manager could no longer commit the amount of time required. A colleague at the University of Nottingham was contacted to take over the site who in turn contacted us for advice. Being aware of the annual fee charged by the Joint Academic NETwork (JANET) for location of such sites upon servers within the JANET infrastucture we were able to advice them of a commercial hosting service and suitable domain name combination which actually worked out cheaper than academic based hosting AND gave the society the sort of domain name identity which suited their remit.

Much of the design work and graphics (apart from the “graphic” in the middle of the front page) was carried out by ourselves with the content being managed by Sandy Tomkins (on behalf of the society) and published from one of our computers.
